An interesting scene! And an excellent light!

Here lighting is so critical to photography, and utilization of available light effectively is not always easy to do. A degree of mastery of metering sometimes the use of AFE lock but a keen eye with a bit of skill can do remarkable work, here your keen eye has made a very nice mage. and impressive by my personal taste... looking at the Exif  this is an impressive result you've  achieved, independent of the initial scene. Even more powerful when seen enlarged. Compliments for the whole  series Heinz.

thanks all for their comments. Indeed this photo was taken in Lalibela in one of the monolithic churches during the ortodox Christmas. it was quite difficult to find the right exposure between the bright sunshine outside and the dark interior, but all the atmosphere was unbelievable and the monk never was aware to be photographed.
