Hubris!!

Well earned.  Could have been produced in-camera.  Articulate as well.  Twisted echoes of Van Gogh.

Have a look at my fences...

Ha,... you made me laugh.Very imaginative and creative image.I 'see '  an  impossible conversation between the  two here. But, it made me think that what thsee two represent for.The flower is always following the sun, its world is sunny and bright, the tomb's world, well, is full of sadness and painful memories...maybe that's our life...

Well done!

Well they do say "when you've got it, flaunt it" .....suffice to say you've got it!

Merticulous and plausible.

Very wel done!

Pierre, I thought you were already the King of montages around here.  But, I must say this one of the best I have seen.  All elements could quite easily be considered captured at the same moment in the same field of view.  There is only one item that gives it away to my eye after a bit of study, that would be the shadows cast on the lower petals on the sunflower, they are out of place.  Similar shadows should be cast in other areas of the work, and are not.  Strong work though, and a very contemplative piece.  Best regards...

DL Anderson, you are right about the shadows, I didn't at all work on that for the light comes from south-east which is almost exactly from the left and it would be very difficult to improvise shadows on the sunflower and of the tomb without touching the cheerfulness of the overall atmosphere! However I am to try to do something! That on the petal is best to be simply erased, I didn't even notice it which proves that I'm not The King, ha!

DL, I fixed it, the petal shadow removed and on the right of the tomb bottom added shadow taking care the atmosphere not to be disturbed!

Great mood image Pierre. Excellent work and the sunflower facing backward really fits the feeling of the picture.

All my best,  Bill

A flower starring at an ancient tomb inside a mysterious garden...hmmm...

A living organism who is looking at his natural end or a jealous flower searching to be burried as a human being after his death ? Maybe it's just an ecology lesson: the harmony between man and nature, with the man burried in it!

It's a beautiful concept and an artistic work my friend, thank you for sharing!

All the best

If creating montage photographs really were your business, you'd be a very wealthy person.  This photograph would be a top seller.

The flower's facing the tombstone tells an interesting story.  It symbolizes the age-old tradition of placing flowers on (or near) a grave.  The flower reminds us of the transitory nature of all that lives, and of beauty itself.  And the entire scene testifies to the power of nature.

Your composition is perfect, and the colors are striking, almost leaping from the screen.

All my best,

michael

You won't get any argument from me about how great you are at this!  I love this one!  As much as I like the complete package, I think you also have another image here......one without the sunflower at all.  Of course, it would be a much more somber, contemplative image, but equally good to this one.

Very nice placement of the three elements build up a story, like the stone and flower are speaking to each other. I like how the flower does not distract. Extremely nice!
