I love this shot.  Your lighting is perfect for this 'sapling', the detail in the leaves is exceptional and especially with using the grey tones. And, with black as your background it makes a 'meagre' sapling look quite regal.  Nice work. Sincere regards, Gail

Your pictures seem inspired by the more classical era of photography when people like Edward Weston paid great attention to form, texture and tone. It's refreshing to see such intelligently composed pictures.

well observed - though I'm not conciously trying to imitate work from classical photographers like Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, I'm impressed by their work which obviously reflects in my "etudes".
