that's a pretty cool shot. i'm not sure you needed a 61-second exposure, though--did you bracket exposure times? i'd like to see the same shot at 30 sec. but this is just what i was talking about earlier: a different, unique take on an iconic landmark. i dont completely love the colors of the background, but i do love the composition of the shot. having the pyramid in a bridge 'window' is tight. was this at 10mm? i would maybe zoom a little tighter and emphasize the strongest compositional elements of the pic; i'm not sure you even need the bottom third at all. the juxtaposition of the bridge and the skyline is the most powerful thing in the shot. tighter framing of the bridge/pyramid could reveal an even more interesting dichotomy. remember, there's no penalty for trying the same shot from a couple of different perspectives.

HI Eric,

Thanks again for your feedback.

This image was taken at 200 MM and that is the maximum focal length i have.Well i have taken other images which have only bridge and transamerica building but for this image to have a balance i thought of keeping some base of the bridge.

Regards,

Sunil

Sunil,  You did a great job on this one.  I really like the vertical shot; it's quite unusual and effective.  Depth of field is right on the button.  Little things like the pyramid shaped building being in the middle of the top opening in the bridge and the red light at the top enhance an already excellent shot.  I would not crop this more.  The variations in yellow at the bottom of the bridge add to the image. Notice how this bright yellow travels upward to the top.  Great shot.  You out did yourself on this one.

Thank you all of you your feeback.

Eric - Thanks for all the feedback you provided and as always your comments help me to learn.

Bob - Thank you very much for your kind words.

Larry - Thank you very much for noticing the details you mentioned. Though i feel this exposure could be better with clear sky (SFO is foggy all the time).

Regards,

Sunil

Indeed this is a cool capture, the city scape at this time of the day on the background is amazing with all of that lighting while the part of the suspension bridge in the fore ground is adding a real potential to the composition of this wonderful image.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

A very nicely composed photo Sunil. Good exposure, color, & contrast. You did your best to find a setting & composition that suit you and the oft-shot image of the GGB and SF in background.  Very cool.

Nice control of the light (we all bracket this range of shot) great detail in the BG. the comp works very well, I really like the framed building in the top of the bridge column. Great photo.
