Old Minnesota Homestead

This is a February winter landscape view of a old homestead up in

northern Minnesota.

Hi Paul:

My caveat is that I live in northern Ontario; so, I have a real sense of connection with this type of photo.

That being said, this photo really stands out as being gallery quality. Composition and lighting are excellent and the post processing really does seem to place the image into the right time frame: recent, touchable history.

Just one thing. There seems to be a precisely repeating vertical artifact in the sky. Is that a result of the compression necessary to show this on photo.net, or was it due to a texture overlay?

This is another great shot..your winter portfolio is splendide ! I don't think I even took one photo outside this winter...did not have the urge at all, must be because of Mom, but perhaps next year I'll do something interesting during this cold season.  I think you overall got more snow than we did.  Talk soon,Gail
