Ball Watching

I like this one a lot.  My dogs do the same thing...staring at the ball or at a toy, seemingly waiting on it to move on its own.

If I stare at it long enough.............

Ahhhh, the eternal struggle between the bed and the ball :-).  Love this shot and Merlin is quite the character.  Perhaps because of the posting process, but the darks are a tad strong and we lose some of the eye detail.  I've run this through Capture NX2 and PS Elements to make some lighting adjustments for a visual comment.  Regardless, a good shot... I clearly need to get my monitor calibrated. On my machine your version looks a little muddy. I suspect we are seeing very different things.

Chris...  Mine is calibrated with a Spyder but there's still wiggle room.  It would be nice if someone else comes by with a calibrated monitor and offers an opinion.  As said though, a good job capturing this typical "Lab Thing" behavior :-)... Mike
