Other world, other culture, I find it quite powerful.

Its strange to see from my Canadian background, such young women baring arms, nonchalant and smiling for a pose.  They should be sitting in a cafe, or shopping for clothes. A very profound image Meir.

I love the contrasts in the photo; the military uniform (hence discipline) and the relaxed atmosphere, the guns and the inviting smile. There is a sense of camaraderie; the huddling represents the bonding that exists between the girls. This is perhaps the most "natural" bit of the shot. The number on top (pertains to the gate?) somehow does not appear to be distracting but blends in the shot. I have seen such numbers in military stuff (bags/transport/etc.) and that is perhaps why I feel this way.
