Great exercise!  When the weather is lousy or you are simply inclined to stay indoors, some still life photography is a good way to spend some time.  No end of subjects there but a shoe is a good start.  Let's see, if you could only find the other one you could go outside & photograph there.  :-)  I agree with Rashed that the exposure is excellent.  Choice of a white background keeps the presentation simple.  One can almost feel the textures here.  Always interesting to view your posts.  Best, LM.
