This was basically a Drawing at the start, using a small image, slightly

seen through flames in doorway. I'm in no way being a 'downer' with this

image.....I just wonder at times, just how horrific a price, mankind will

pay for his INHUMANITY towards others, INSANE RESPONSES to the

world around him, DISREGARD for basic RESPECT for his FELLOW

MAN......and I haven't even mentioned the CHILDREN yet. An Obscure

Abstract, wondering about what the REAL IMAGE may one day be.

(thanks for viewing, Gail)

This is one heck of a construction! Fabulous content and colours. Great detail and composition. You keep excelling at this kind of image.

But I must comment on your comment. Over the centuries mankind has learned (very slowly, too slowly) to stop some of the barbarism of the past and I think we are progressing toward a better world in the end. Unfortunately, in our generation, as in all previous generations, we cannot seem to just learn to live together with tolerance, understanding and peace.

But I believe we are better at it than we have been and one day the world will find a way to live in harmony.

Tony says it well, to paraphrase "when the love of power becomes the power of love" we will have a world we all want.

All my best,  Bill

Thankyou for your very kind comment re this composition.  The building itself I started way back last spring, and just never got back to it.  But thought I'd tackle it again.  I appreciate your comments and understand what you are saying and agree, perhaps I've just seen too much on the news lately, and must realize there are some places where people are not as free as we are, and react in ways I find so hard to comprehend.  The violence I see in order to have freedom and democracy baffles me, yet at the same time, perhaps there is no other way to obtain it.

And no matter where you go, there will always be those who are mentally unstable, it's just a fact of life. Thanks for reminding me, you've probably seen a bit more than I also to form a more knowledgable opinion. Cheers for now, and much thanks, Gail

Another Masterpiece!

Overshadowed by the glitter of 'progress', hidden in the shadows of daily living, the fires are burning hot in the Crematorium Of Civility.

With admiration,

Dave

Quite interesting work...  It take tremendously long time to learn how to live in peace and respect, and it take very short time to destroy it...

Thank you for this beautiful and different artwork, and the story you mentioned for it. Actually you perfectly said what we have in our bloody heart these days, so sad full of black, jail, torture, lack of humanity and terror in iran... But we have love, peace and ... hope. I think these are adequate for a better future! Still hopeful for better future! Please check this out again ( although you kindly saw and commented on previously, but it relates to your story ):

Another masterpiece.A very much striking one indeed. Regarding comment my words also sound similar to Hamid & beleive that we will not see "The End" unless there is "The End" of moral, ethics & humanity which is still there. I hope & beleive those shall last forever.

My best regards.

Kallol.

This one was more lengthy to do.  I started it in the summer and would leave it , go back , etc.....was still not sure whether to post, but I figured why not, I'd not gotten any newer ideas as to rework it.  Thankyou for that fine compliment, Gail
