steve_patterson 0 Posted January 30, 2003 I came upon this early one morning in an industrial area and was reminded of the cubist work of Braque and Picasso as well as Paul Strand's formalism. The picture feels like something of a curiosity to me, but I'm still pleased with it. Steve Link to comment
jeff leiper 0 Posted January 30, 2003 If I wasn't living paycheque to paycheque, this is a print I would buy - big. It's a jumble of shapes and lines and time. It would be almost uni-dimensional due to the shadows were it not for the smoke stack with its tiny hint that there is texture and sunshine behind the wall. It suggests a sameness of dimension for those unlucky enough to live here. The mural offers the hope of entertainment, but the character's expression and costume would indicate that even that break from montony would fit within a well-understood continuum of tediousness that's pretty much unending. Even the character's cleavage is assexual as the hope of love seems to have eluded her, replaced with sterile carnality. I really do love this picture. Thanks for sharing it. I hope someone who appreciates it as much, but who has some coin in their pocket, makes you an offer for it. Link to comment

jon_fernquest 0 Posted June 29, 2003 Love the overall geometry as well subtle tones of grey that come better in large size and would surely be even more striking in a quality print. Like the way you've teasing, tantalizing (revealing just enough but not all?) way you've cropped the woman and the advertising copy beneath her. Link to comment
