White Linen

!! ;-) - my mother once wove linen in a small factory (at Lake Steinhude...)... Hence I know what it meant to produce such beautiful tablecloth (sometimes from linen). Stop. This is a great compo, and therefore I love to wander inside this image. It is a great joy to view all these well captured and arranged image elements (the flowers, the table, the chairs, so well arranged in this enchanting lights and colors), I feel - to a very high degree - "invited" to sit down and share... May I say that?

Thank you, and of course you can say that. I think the linen your mother wove was a much better quality than these tablecloths. They look crisp and clean, but they are just plain and ordinary, and the table and chairs here are plastic. I loved the way it was arranged in this beautiful little summer garden. It was so pretty and inviting. If only there had been some Victorian ladies in elegant hats sipping tea it would have been perfect.

An inviting scene (regardless of the finery or lack thereoff), as it is enveloped by flowers.  One anticipates a lovely afternoon of tea, crumpets, juicy talk, and laughter wafting in the greenery

The colors and presentation here are beautiful.  I find myself looking for a subject here.  A single person or couple at the second or far table might be interesting. Maybe a wine (red) glass, half full/empty on the first table?

Linda,  I was attracted to this image for its different subject.  The number of comments you have received are testimony to this.  I like the way you wrap in the surrounding flowers.  I would suggest that you add selective sharpening to the flowers and background or darken the background enhance the focal point of the tables.  I am including both edits for illustration.  Nice image.  Best wishes.

Thank you all for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it. This was taken last summer.  I don’t think I am alone in craving a bit of colour at this time of year. It has been a long, dull winter here.
