This must one hard image to expose this way because of the critical climate condition here, your DOF is also superbly brought out all of the fine details all over the frame work while the tone add to the composition of this remarkable capture.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Thank you,

the hard thing was not cold(it was first day above zero from a week), but there was nowhere to set down my tripod and I have to use it as monopod. I wish I had ND filter too...

Noncho, this is a beautiful image. Amazing tonal range and color subtlety. On a monpod no less, well done. Personally, I like the fact that the ice crystals and surrounding areas arn't "tack sharp" as seems to be the requirement among critics these days. Because of this, the image has a wonderful painted feel about it, and is more pleasing to the eye. Being too sharp would take away from it's visual appeal IMHO. I know you couldn't do much about those thin hanging branches in the left foreground, I feel they are the only distracting elements in this image. If you were to crop the bottom to the tips of those branches (without clipping it off), it will minimize the distraction by creating a framing effect, helping to focus attention back to the central scene. The one on the right leading to the branch in the water is a key focal point. 6/7 from me. Kudos, and keep at it.

Thank you Randall,

you are absolutely right about branches on the left!

I try to remove one of them and it looks much better.

Noncho
