Your comments are always valued. Thank you for taking the time to look

at this and respond. I took this in 2003 with transparency film. This is

Newfoundland in the vicinity of Trinity.

Beautiful image, the foggy atmosphere adding a very special effect to the superb composition.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

You have captured the foggy feel for sure.  On my monitor it is shades of blue gray only.  Was this what you saw and wanted to show.  If not you might want to try some playing with the curves to add some separtion.

This is an excellent shot - one that is moody with lots of shapes and gradations to keep the viewer engaged. Typically these scenes are a dull gray but if you are pulling it in with a telephoto you get that slight blue which I find very pleasant. I have given thought to the previous critique suggesting that you play with curves or the perhaps the mid range contrast in PS Cs shadow/Highlight command. Ifyou add some mid range contrast, will it destroy the mood? I suspect yes!

What I have observed in foggy situations is that the objects closest to you are more clearly defined (less foggy) which gives a sense of depth in an appropriate composition. The closest object here is the cliff on the left. Would I play with just that side to make it a tad lighter and apply a bit of contrast? I would then evaluate whether I liked the end result.

I know I have not given you a definitive recommendation especially as i was not there and I don't know what vision you - as artist and photographer - had for this image.

Food for thought in a world of Art and Photography where there is no right and wrong especially if the end customer is you.

I hope you found this helpful and best regards,

Thanks, Tony.  Isn't it fun in this digital age to be able to dig back into old photos and mess with them?  I see the merit of experimenting with highlighting the foreground cliff.   Thanks,  Tony.

HI Patsy, Thanks for digging into my portfolio.   This image was taken in 2003 on sllde film, before my digital days.  It is one of the better pics from that trip.  Thanks, again.   Larry
