Christal,

Beautiful image that would look great as a Hallmark card.  You have some beautiful countryside with wonderful bridges to photograph i the snow.  Thanks for sharing.  Take care, Patsy

Nicely composed, with the footbridge and rail / road bridge? in the background. I'm guessing the creekbed follows the lines of vegetation, it would be lovely to see it when that snow starts to melt too.

Lovely winter scene.

Best Regards

Alf

Great shot!  What I like about this is how the background bridge, with all of its structural engineering and surrounding complex vegetation, is repeated in a very small and simple way by the foreground bridge.  It's a charming contrast.

Radu... I appreciate your opinion and comparison of my 2 images.  I agree with you!  :-)

Patsy....Although I'm guilty of thinking I need to go to far away places to get good photography shots, I agree that Indiana has much to offer.  I just need to go out and open my eyes!  Thanks for your visit!

Linda.....Thanks for your visit, which reminds me I want to get over to your portfolio soon!

Alf......For you I'll try to remember to go back and shoot this in the spring.  I hope there will be some wildflowers spring up on the banks of this creek.  Thanks for your visit!  Oh.....and you got me thinking also.  I actually don't know what type of bridge this is, but I don't think it's in use any longer.  That will also bear some exploration.  Thanks!

Stephen....On a gut level I think I was attracted to the very thing you mentioned.  But sometimes I can't articulate or even identify what appeals to me about a subject.  I think that must come with experience.  Thanks for your visit and enlightened comments.  Hope the trip is going well!

This is part of a great series, I like all the three ones a lot. All are excellently observed, composed and edited. Bravo!

Christal...  I haven't been by in a few days and here's more new stuff!

My first impression is that this is a very detailed pen and ink drawing.  An excellent shot... Mike

Volker.....I visit this area frequently because it's only about 5 minutes from my house.  So you'll probably see more shots from here as time goes on. Thanks so much for your supportive comments.

Mike.....I have so many images I could load on, but I never seem to get around to it.  I have a week of vacation coming up, so I just decided to spend a little time doing photo stuff.  :-)   I agree with you about it looking like a drawing, which is partly why I think it looks better in B&W.  Thanks, as always!

A gorgeous winter scene Christal! The fine detail, and flat light, are perfect for B&W. Superbly composed, and processed. Well done!

All the best,
Neil
