Winston the Cavalier Gentleman or maybe a new twist to You Dog You!  LOL.... A unique and well done photo, but the smile it brings is the important part... Excellent... Mike

I don't feel technically competent enough to criticize another's work.  However, from an artistic point of view, this image tugs at my heart.  I can't get my Lab to stand still long enough to get a half way decent picture of him, let alone a picture like this.  Knowing Labs...how long before he/she ate the flower?  Beautiful image.  Bill

Well conceived shot. Yes, it's cheesy, but somehow it also connects emotionally. Love his eyes.

Thanks everybody.  Bill, he was too concerned about the treats he was going to get as soon as I was done shooting off a few pics to eat with the rose.:)

This really melts my heart!  Hope there aren't any thorns on that rose!  :-)  Actually, the rose takes a back seat to those amazing eyes!  I want a dog!!!!!!  Thanks for this rather sappy and sweet, extremely well done shot!

I scanned the photos in this month's (well, February's) photo project and this one is my favorite. Your dog is so well trained, sitting there with a rose in his mouth! How did you achieve such great lighting? My living room is so dark, and capturing photos of my dogs without that awful red eye means either a high ISO, or a very slow shutter speed. Did you use extra light (umbrella flash, maybe?) What a beautiful photo!

Thanks.  I stretched my work light stand up to 6 feet and pointed both 500 watt lamps up to bounce the light off the ceiling.  Also had some decent indirect window light.
