John Peri 1,007 Posted February 9, 2011 Thank you friends. Style? .. with 280 photos in the portfolio, there may be some consistency in places, but that is for others to decide. Link to comment
m_akin 2 Posted February 9, 2011 yes,you are right.I have seen your 280 portrait shots, they are really very beautiful...congrats.regards.my friend. Link to comment
kdrews 0 Posted February 10, 2011 Very nice portrait of a lovely young lady. I like the angles created by the arms and hands in contrast with the softness of her face and hair. Casual, relaxed & most effective in B&W. Link to comment
andrzejp 6 Posted February 10, 2011 Beautiful portrait. Perfectly posed. Barely visible smile ads to the beauty of this image. 7/7 Link to comment
niki3 0 Posted February 10, 2011 excellent portrait. i really like the background not on focus :) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 10, 2011 This young lady is so pretty and your lighting here is so well set, the b/w format adding a wonderful feel to this image while the model expression and her pose is well communicating with the viewers, I also like here the high quality of contrast and tone which add to this work a great credit.Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best. John Peri 1,007 Posted February 10, 2011 Again, many thanks my friends. I do in fact have the top of the hairline in the original, but I found the library and shelf content above her a little distracting .. Link to comment
wmc718 3 Posted February 10, 2011 Oh! No wonder I liked this portrait the second I opened it... it's a John Peri photograph! As always John, just beautiful, and you captured her expression very nicely. Now, if we can just keep the great oracle on here who doesn't even post his own work away from it, all will be well! Sorry, just am not impressed by "degrees" (that you can get all day off of the internet). However, one's work (such as yours) speaks for itself! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted February 10, 2011 John, you are right the background is distracting in the 2nd shot. I prefer the uploaded version. To say very good portrait will be cliche'. Exposure, light, skin tone and capture have the signature of John. Link to comment
toloduran 0 Posted February 11, 2011 Magnifico retrato. Estupenda pose y mirada captada, con una excelente luz y b&w.Un cordial saludo -Tolo. Link to comment
chiwaz 1 Posted February 11, 2011 Another great portrait. This model has a less obvious beauty if compared with other girls you portraited, but it's nonethless striking. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 2 Posted May 30, 2011 Regarding style, this looks to be her "style", not yours. I suspect this is really more of a personality portrait. Your "portraits" gallery reminds me a bit of Arnold Newman's work, each image is a reflection of the model. Jim Phelps Link to comment
