tonyfrench 0 Posted February 7, 2011 Ruud, I love all of the vertical lines at the top and the crossing and overlapping lines on the bottom. The circular architectural elements and the color of the men's uniforms are a nice contrast and draw out attention to them. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted February 8, 2011 Another great shot of 'MEN AT WORK'....in this particular photo, it appears they are repairing some old 'rot' and damage. Work that they must be very careful in executing. Good capture Ruud!!! Best regards, Gail Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted February 8, 2011 I'm very pleased to see a photo like this where you have put some effort and thought on framing and composition. The circumstances were on your side as that building behind happen to have this neutral color and uniform pattern so different to the working area. This roof and the work lift both having horizontal lines, and then this sculptured top. Those two yellow helmets get viewer's attention and you did fine job in capturing the right moment with dialog between those workers. I mean you kept the horizontals leveled and the bottom edge of the frame runs finely along the bottom of the lift too.You must have had special access to so high camera position and maybe for this reason you worked so carefully? Maybe this is shot from a open window?I presume you are a oldfashioned photographer who prefer to present full frame photos having this 3:2 35mm format aspect ratio (like myself basicly until recently). I say this as I would like to hear your thought about possible crop from the right to the end of the horizontal roof top, just to "purify" the scene visually by leaving out the sloping roof edge out. This is just an idea, to have something to discuss about... ;-)All I can say is I would be very happy if I had been in your shoes to capture this fine work scene, Ruud. Link to comment

ruudalbers 0 Posted February 9, 2011 many thanks for your nice comments and compliments!
