Beautiful little girl and of very relaxing appearance, you did a great job with the lighting here and the soft effect on the face do add a great credit to the image composition.

Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Petri,

Pinja is a very pretty girl. You have focused well on her eyes. She has excellent eye contact with the camera (viewer) and a very nice expression. The lighting and her skin tone are very good. She even has nice little specular highlights on her lips. The catchlights are very well done. The background is nicely neutral and out of focus. She is well separated from the background.

While I am not usually a big fan of using a horizontal format for a vertical subject this works very well.

This is a somewhat a personal preference, but your depth of field is so shallow that it throws most everything out of focus except her eyes. I don't see a good reason to have any of her out of focus. An out of focus background is very nice and focuses attention on your subject. Parts of your subject out of focus will draw attention away from what is in focus. It is difficult to go wrong with having the entire subject in focus.

Just to be different I gave her a vertical crop and lightened it a bit. I wanted to get the whites of her eyes a little whiter without losing detail (or a little as possible) in her top.

Nice shot,

Mark

Your critiques are highly appreciated! Thank you!

I tried to empahazise her eyes with this picture using extremely shallow DOF; her eyes are the most amazing!

I used horizontal format to show also the chair behind her.

Best regards,

Petri
