How in the world did you go about setting this up? Did you know it's destination such as a nest and then wait till it came in? I know you had to work for this one. Great composition, lighting and focus. I really like the action and details of the belly feathers.......cheers!

I'm not going to lie... this was a test of my patience...  regarding how I set about this image, I actually watched for it to take off from a dead tree, fired a burst and this was the result...  snow cover provided a nice backdrop and this particular bird flew at eye level... they are incredibly quick and alert.

A not so usual position you caught here and this makes it more interesting,regards.

Beautiful shot and not easy to get.  I would give the image just a little more space in front, like again as much as from the beak to the existing border.  That also gets you to a more rectangular presentation.
