Dancin' Dan The Courier Man 1997

I like the way this is cropped.

What a character. Great shot. I like how you used the reflection to give the setting.

This is Dancin' Dan The Courier Man. Dan is, if not the worlds then

at least Vancouvers most colorful courier. This was taken at a BC Bud

Hemp Gala (neither Dan nor I inhaled). Dan can usually be found

wearing a kilt as he pumps his foot powered scooter through

Vancouvers traffic as he delivers packages from one office full of

suits to the next...I often wonder how many of those suits would love

to be a Dancin' Dan themselves

I'm sure I can see a bare bottom in the reflection of the right glass! Excellent capture. A portrait full of character, with a definite edge.

Very good, a clever way of conveying a lot of information in the image self: the glasses, the texture, the collar, a very well done cropping.

This one is a little too tight for me, but still very good.

I've seen Dan around the streets of Vancouver for about 20 years now. I'll bet he's one of the city's most photographed citizens. He is truly one of a kind.
