Excellent composition, and the B&W is very fitting as well! The details are very crisp. "Last Water & Gas for . . . "

I remember traveling some of those areas in the Southwest and seeing many of those "Last" type signs. Back then I was just a kid, and of course 300 miles was "a long ways!" Fortunately we weren't in a Model A!

Last year I explored a bit of Route 66 near the Missouri, Kansas & Oklahoma borders and hope to do a bit more come Spring and better traveling conditions. This one's going as one of my favorites!

Jim, I think you'll find lots of photo opportunities on Route 66 in New Mexico and Arizona.  The problem with 66 is that it's so damn fragmented in most areas.  I think the longest continuous stretch is between Ash Fork and Kingman, if you can get there.  West of Ash Fork, look for the replicated Burma Shave signs.  They'll take you back a few years...
