Your bird is flying into the bush on the right, not good.  Zoom in a bit to cut that out not forgetting to leave more room from the end of the beak to the right edge than left edge to feet.  In any event, I know how difficult this was to get and you did great.

You "nailed" the focus on this one compared to the Buffelhead. The lighting is good and the details of the head are nice and sharp.

It would have been nice if the background would have been something a little lighter in color, but we don't always get what we want, and from experience I know how difficult these type of shots are to get!

Not that I know anything, but I'd venture to say that you're doing very well so far with the "bird in flight" subjects.
