It looks like you have started out with a very interesting portrait. For me you have severely over-processed this. Although if you are trying to achieve a 2 dimensional graphic, I would recommend either eliminating the background altogether, or making it a solid color, black or possibly a golden yellow.

Good potrait ..but over done PS work makes it difficult to see....
