kslonaker 0 Posted February 4, 2011 My second cake smash. I highly recommend a paper background. Comments welcomed - thanks! Link to comment
jerrymat 3 Posted February 4, 2011 Hi Kim, I like paper backgrounds too. Nothing to wash when the cake frosting gets on it. This almost looks like an advertisement for a photo business and certainly will get all the mothers' attention. If the kids are cooperative it can be fun to ask one to feed the other - you never know what will happen.Have you considered moving your prominant name downward to the white space at the bottom? I think that would be quite effective. Otherwise the image has the feeling of being scribbled over.Regards,Jerry Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted February 11, 2011 Geeze, I feel so inadequate. Nobody ever wants to steal my photos. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Actually the text doesn't look inappropriate. Perhaps a bit low in the frame but you only place it there for web versions, right? I have had some very satisfying results with my grandchildren using this setup. I use a white paper background and two flashes, one on either side of the camera, and bounced off a low white ceiling. This effort however, trumps any simple setup I've used. The balloons are a great idea I'm apt to steal. And the dual cakes? Well they're icing on the cake. Love the little pink toes. Best, LM. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 12, 2011 Yes, Len, only for the web. The parents get them without my name on them. I've seen my pictures posted in different countries where I don't even understand the language. At least they give me credit, which is how I find them in the first place. :) Link to comment
