The white light between the two darker zones is great. I really like that one.

Great image.

There is a lot of depth, has a quality of almost being there..

Composed well, good leading lines from the light poles and people...

Good tones.

Great composition, great exposure - I particularly like the way you've got the Benetton sign.

the only thing that troubles me is the very central element of light.

However, I wish I'd taken it :-)

The central light doesnt bother me, its not in the middle of the shot. A wet day with the sun shining through the clouds, how many of us run for the camera on those days, when colors run like a watercolor painting, light reflects so beautifully. Bravo! The figure in the foreground anchors the comp. Maybe if one of those figures was lit up more, standing out. The source light is the only extreme light, there isnt a graduation of black and white. What a capture. Thank you for sharing it.

Now that's what 50mm is good for! :) It realy has a classic touch. And if there was no Benneton sign, it could be even timeless. As for the metering I think I would have selective metered on the left sensor so the area would be around the left person's head and the lamp which should result in a slightly brighter picture. But that's just for my liking :) Keep up your good b/w photos!

The light in this photo is very similar to the light in the photo of mine that you rated.

Perhaps that's why I like it. Anyway it's a great, very mysterious light that makes a fairytale-like mood.

You could have done with a little less black in the right side of the photo.

Thanks for the comments everybody! Actually, I wasn't sure about the benetton sign, but then I found it to be interesting since the image is a classic B&W, and the sign says "united colors...". :) Thanks again!

A moody scene, Dejane! Light is terrific and the "birds" you managed to capture are beautifully "arranged" (not overlapping). Blago
