Guest Guest Posted January 22, 2003 The white light between the two darker zones is great. I really like that one. Link to comment
brian l. schiele 0 Posted January 22, 2003 Great image. There is a lot of depth, has a quality of almost being there.. Composed well, good leading lines from the light poles and people... Good tones. Link to comment
mark_litherland 0 Posted January 22, 2003 Great composition, great exposure - I particularly like the way you've got the Benetton sign. the only thing that troubles me is the very central element of light. However, I wish I'd taken it :-) Mark Link to comment
maria_s. 1 Posted January 23, 2003 Oh yes, Dejan ... it's a pity that United Colors of Benetton on the right make this place any place. Link to comment
d._tamron 0 Posted January 24, 2003 The central light doesnt bother me, its not in the middle of the shot. A wet day with the sun shining through the clouds, how many of us run for the camera on those days, when colors run like a watercolor painting, light reflects so beautifully. Bravo! The figure in the foreground anchors the comp. Maybe if one of those figures was lit up more, standing out. The source light is the only extreme light, there isnt a graduation of black and white. What a capture. Thank you for sharing it. Link to comment
bozovic 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Now that's what 50mm is good for! :) It realy has a classic touch. And if there was no Benneton sign, it could be even timeless. As for the metering I think I would have selective metered on the left sensor so the area would be around the left person's head and the lamp which should result in a slightly brighter picture. But that's just for my liking :) Keep up your good b/w photos! Link to comment
bakari 0 Posted January 27, 2003 Very powerful tone. Love how you saw and captured the light in the scene. Link to comment
alexei_gourianov1 0 Posted January 30, 2003 Intimately classic. Somehow my eyes want a square the shot, but for this you need 6X6 camera. Link to comment
s_ren_nielsen 0 Posted January 31, 2003 The light in this photo is very similar to the light in the photo of mine that you rated.Perhaps that's why I like it. Anyway it's a great, very mysterious light that makes a fairytale-like mood. You could have done with a little less black in the right side of the photo. Link to comment
koska 0 Posted February 13, 2003 Thanks for the comments everybody! Actually, I wasn't sure about the benetton sign, but then I found it to be interesting since the image is a classic B&W, and the sign says "united colors...". :) Thanks again! Link to comment
blago 0 Posted March 31, 2003 A moody scene, Dejane! Light is terrific and the "birds" you managed to capture are beautifully "arranged" (not overlapping). Blago Link to comment
