Illuminated Macro Raindrop

It was a dark and stormy night. Really. The windows were covered with sheets of rain except for one area, partly sheltered by the limb of an overhanging tree. A lamp in the room cast light on a single raindrop on the outside of the window. I got as close as I could with my Tamron 90mm, manually focusing.

First of all, another congratulations on having your photo selected as Photo of the Week. I love you entry and if I had the eye and the expertise to shoot it, I would not have changed a thing. And as I said in my post in the POTW forum, I'm amazed you could get that shot in low lighting with that lens.

Thank you for your comment on this one. Of all the photos in my portfolio, I never would have hoped to have your comment on this one. And yet, it's totally appropriate. I took my equipment to the limit photographing something that defied being photographed. And I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it.
