Dave, Thanks for posting. The ice and snow on the mud flats of Turnagin Arm remind me of a trip to Death Valley, which is flat, white and surrounded by mountains. Great image.

Nice Alaskan sunrise, Dave!  An excellent exposure and good composition.  The reflected orange light helps liven up the otherwise dull Alaskan beach.  It's always a challenge to get exciting foregrounds for a near/far composition like this in Alaska, especially in or near the mud flats.

my few comments here:

the black rock on the bottom and those black rocks on the right are really heavy and holding you back. I'd suggest to go a bit forth to get rid of them.

Great FG and sky colouring and I like the way I am drawn from the FG to the sky. Lovely place to be, I was there last Aug-Sept.
