Dave, very cool creation. Makes me think of a gravitational anomaly of some sort in space, worm whole, dimensional rift, nearing an event horizon. Eye candy for the scientific imagination. I think if an image like this came back from Hubble it would cause more than a few astronomers and astrophysicists to take notice.

Neither one! Birth of a universe! The egg in the center symbolizes birth and all that around shows that it is a birth of a new universe! As they say here - IMHO! Seven would be the verdict!

As has been mentioned - if this were taken by Hubble... Actually, it's more as if this was taken by Hubble on steroids! Love it!
