stephen_g_clarke 0 Posted January 21, 2003 Beautiful Image, good exposure, good light& composition. The eyes are the mirrors of our soul, they say everything, your image says a great deal, excellent-congradulations. Link to comment

vicki_huynh 0 Posted January 22, 2003 I've seen a lot of similar images of women in veils on this site, but this one is truly outstanding. The green eyes are a perfect detail. Congratulations. Link to comment
manuel.rincon 0 Posted January 22, 2003 Women in veils have certainly some mistery... Link to comment
livia_geabelea 0 Posted January 23, 2003 I see no mystery here. Too over-elaborated attitude to be mysterious. Link to comment

blago 0 Posted January 24, 2003 It is a beautiful studio portrait. The critics should compare it only against other studio portraits. The references cited above are not properly selected, imo, except for the first one, two nudes (??) and two people shots (?) follow. Mentioning the Playboy dolls is just ridiculous and cutting off half of the model's head is really boring. I do not believe that in a studio portrait like this (head shot) the model and the photo could be separately analysed. Here the standard remark "model is beautiful but the photo is not" is simply not working. What we have: beautiful girl with a special (Paulo) facial expression - calm, self confident but friendly and concentrated on her work. Mysterious ? Yes, that is what the veil is used for in the last several thousands years, add here the special greens in her eyes. The very elegant dressing and the carefully selected colours and lights deserve to be mentioned as complementing the composition - simple, calm and pleasing. Why not? Why always faces broken by dramatic emotions? Finally, it is a high quality photo and this quality could be achieved only with a very precise exposure. The technical quality of a photo is always a real value and is never a result of "over-elaboration"(?). Nice work, Mircea. Blago Link to comment
dale_cook 0 Posted February 2, 2003 The green in her eyes is very striking. They really draw you in because they are a nice color contrast to the rest of the photo. Link to comment
