Don't know what you did with the branch but it looks very weird!

The background looks also a little bit too purple, no sorry have seen better ones from you ;)

This is a great capture! The bird is beautiful with very nice details and colours; what it's makeing me feel strange is that the photo make me look up, because both bird and the branch are on vertical and the head of the bird it's looking up too, that's nice, but i was imagining this photo on a rotation of 90 degree so would become a landscape format, or at least the brench to be not in such a vertical position.

Is a nice and intersting birds,yes,what I do not like here is that you used the blur tool not so carefully and there are some part visible that disturb the eye(the branch and bird neck),concerning Cristina`s opinion about what I know and observed myself woodecker all the time works in this vertical position on a tree,this is a normal one for her not horizontal,hope to see more new birds photos from you and enjoy us,regards.
