I am resubmitting, made the person smaller and added more foreground to

hopefully give an over all more lonely feeling. Would appreciate

constructive C&C. I am grateful for your time.

This does increase that feeling of solitude, but at a cost. On my tiny netbook screen I am missing some of the wonderful detail you have in the figure - perhaps it's still there on a larger screen? How do you like the change Peter?

Again it's a fine image, I'd be happy to have it on my wall.

Michael,

Thanks for the great compliment! I like this image much better as I do think it portrays loneliness much better than the original. The subject is farther away (more distance from the viewer as opposed to before which felt a little to intimate and was countering the idea of loneliness). There is some loss of detail in the subject but I think the overall feel of the image is closer to what I wanted to accomplish. Thanks again!

In my humble opinion, any loss of detail on the figure is well worth it. If the feel of loneliness is what you're after, this one does it. I like it a lot.

Also, I love subtle color, especially the face, in "The Visitor". Mysterious.

Peter, my congratulations for this wonderful piece, This kind of works is not easy to achive, I think is very complicated to build in our minds fantasies like this, at less that we are an artist like you.
My best regards. 7

hi Peter.. the tone and mood is perfect esp. in black and white.. i would crop a tad off the bottom and top. there is so much space that the figure loses something? howevr i think that the figure is perfectly defined here we can it is a person thats all we need to know... take care sam

Sam, thanks for the compliment. The reason I left so much space on the top and bottom is to accentuate the feeling of loneliness by making the figure small but I think that I could crop some off the bottom which would make a stronger composition while maintaining the feel that I want. Thanks very much for the suggestion. Peter
