pnital 36 Posted January 25, 2011 Another scene, photographed at the dance ; PRIVATE COLLECTION.Some of Sally Ann Friedland ,the choreographer's words: " Our secrets are collected in private hiding , places of fear, uncertainty and borders, thoughts and memories, all of them are creating a personal collage. The thin colored nets are creating a mood, light and shadows and visual barriers."Sally is successful in developing the dance, adding new surprises in every show...Dancer: EmilyThanks for viewing Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted January 25, 2011 I sometimes feel like that even when I'm awake. Interesting that she is trapped in the light. Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted January 26, 2011 Interesting that the veil seems static and sharp and the body seems soft and in motion. Beautiful light, strong dynamic structure. Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted January 26, 2011 Great composition and superb use of lighting. Congrats. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted January 26, 2011 Exceedingly feminine, her hand is positioned self-protectively, the flowing ethereal textile looks ethereal. The tilt of her head -- not quite looking back -- in fact her eyes seem closed -- is lovely. She looks on-the-run soon to be gone like חבל. Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted January 27, 2011 Pnina, This is wonderful against the black backdrop. The positioning and movement of the body with it's slightly blurred hand and foot work very well. The lighting is great. I really love the trailing tendrils of the gauze. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted January 27, 2011 Fine art, both, the dancer emerging from the cocoon and the photographer freezing that moment. Chapeau! Link to comment

LindaM 2 Posted January 28, 2011 Pnina, I was thinking metaphorically. Especially in dreams, it often seems like I am trapped in some kind of darkness trying to get out into the light. And here it seems like the light is what she is escaping from to get into the open space of darkness. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 29, 2011 Tolo and Amal, for your nice feedback.Linda, thanks for your follow up, I understood it was metaphorically. The music which is following this part of the dance, is a song about a woman that her lover has left her... so your explanation of the feeling from light to darkness fits very well .! Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted January 29, 2011 The dancer's head looks down, like a demure bride holding a gauzy, translucent veil. She is enchanting, soft and magical. Then, moving down, the legs are all strength and power, as if she running in mid-air. The black background is so dramatic. This is visually stunning and so interesting to look at . Well done. jeffl7 0 Posted January 29, 2011 Part dream. Part nightmare. Parts of her are crisp and clear. Lucid. Other parts blur and disappear into the darkness. Such is the subconscious mind. I love the light. Does insight liberate or entrap? A moving question you've captured. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 30, 2011 Linda, thanks for your nice words of impression. It is one of my favorite movement with the net. Jeff, it is a very interesting commentary. I like the inside insight... and your question is a valid one, which it is hard to answer... Alberto, thanks as well for all of them. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted February 3, 2011 I love this gorgeous composition. The light is exquisitely captured and the position of the body with the flowing cloth is mesmerizing. Link to comment
