You are in Africa wow!! I bet you will have many exciting photos during your stay there. I think it is exciting to take pictures in an open range. Watch out for some aggressive animals, be safe..

I love the enormous african sky which makes this huge animal look small. wonderful point of view that i never seem to think of when I am taking photos of animals. Always seem to end up with close ups and I can see by this that I am missing a trick.

a pity that he is a bit dirty, obviously been rolling in the sand which does make him blend into the foreground a bit, but still a beautiful scene which was well visualised and captured, (and its not as if you could get out and dust him off :)

Beautiful, big sky full of nice rich blue color and beautiful puffy white clouds.  All that seems to be in contrast to the landscape, it looks like parched earth.  Even the rhino looks pale and peaceful and he fits right into the landscape.  Overall a very attractive photograph, with much to observe.

Lovely capture of one of our BIG 5 !

Marina, a bit of information I would like to pass on to you and everyone else who is visiting your Port - These beautiful Rhinos are in Big Trouble at the moment - Unfortunately, there are some unsavoury humans out there who have spread the word again that they need Rhino horn and due to that our local people never mind what race are killing them by the hundreds. A couple of weeks ago the wardens had a shootout with some of the criminals and they ended shooting 5 of criminals in the Kruger National Park. In our parks is where our biggest killings and slaughterings are happening. There is a huge outcry at the moment as well for Save Our Rhinos since South Africa is the only country where we still have them roaming free in our National Park.

I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed South Africa so much and that you want to return to us as soon as possible again. If you need any info as to rather do it all on your own with your family please feel free to contact me any time and I will try to assist you.

Have a fantastic weekend

Warmest Regards from South Africa

Johanna, so sad news. I hope the beauty of the nature and the wildlife can touch the people heart, and want to support them. Thanks so much for your help and for your info, I really appreciate it. Tell me If I can do anything more to support this beautiful rhinos.

Wonderful capture! I have been reading up on safari adventures because I hope to take one next year and have read that the rhinos are not seen that much because they have been put under protection. You are fortunate to have seen one and share this photo with us! I love how you have included so much sky because it adds to the overall feeling of vulnerability that even these large animals have. Thank you so much for sharing. :)
