Stained Glass

harrylichtman

Arctic temperatures allowed the growth of these ice crystals on my porch window. I manually blended 2 images at f18, using 2 different focal points to try and maximize DOF. I needed to angle my lens upward slightly to take advantage of the sky backlighting, which made the feather-like details visible. Since my lens was not parallel to the window glass, DOF was extremely small, especially at 105mm. Thye warm tones in the image are the result of a stand of beech trees in the distance that were receiving full sun.

Your impressions, suggestions welcome.

Great work Harry. Like it a lot. Looks like a really old map with drawings of the landscape. Thanks for sharing.
