gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 17, 2011 I decided to look back at some of the photographs I made this year. I created this at the first session I did in 2011. Mirrors certainly were an element I used a lot. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 17, 2011 I don't suppose anyone will be looking at the vertical lines in this image. However, I do feel it would be better if one of them was vertical. Mirrors are a good prop! I am not sure if this comes out right or not but I prefer her reflection. Maybe her right side is her better side. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 17, 2011 David - Thank you for your always useful comments. Kari Marie felt "right" in the overall framing so I decided to leave the mirror non-square. I can see how it might distract. In future shoots I either cropped it out or made it square.-Mark Link to comment
DawsonPointers 362 Posted December 17, 2011 You have done an exceptional job of making the foreground and the reflection different, with both of them being worthy of independence. There is a lot to learn from this image. Thanx for sharing it.Regards, John Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 18, 2011 John - Thank you for the kind words. In all of the images I've been making of models in mirrors I've tried to achieve that goal as well as making photographs where it looks like the model is interacting with herself. I'm pleased you see it here. -Mark Link to comment
