This is just superb Niki. The pose, the lighting, the makeup the background, all came together perfectly in this one.

Perhaps changing the orientation to portrait from landscape might increase the impact, but that might just be a personal choice.

Beautiful I agree with Scott regarding the crop. Congrats.

The tones and lights are great.  I love the fact that the model is placed a bit off center with a background light on the left.  The only thing I could find which might make the picture stronger, is the cropping on the top.  Maybe a bit too tight ?  Ben

This is why I always say that "cropping is a personal thing... not a canned rule."  IMHO, all of these crops are good, and make their own statement.

Anyway, nice shot Niki, and again, a striking model!

An attractive portrait, bravo. I am in favour personally of the author's choice of presentation which I find more subtle and appealing than the close ups suggested. 

For some reason I keep coming back to this shot and viewing it over and over.  I really like it!  Love the model, the look and the lighting.  I agree with John Peri that it really should be up to the author how an image is cropped and I like the original more than the vertical cropping.  As someone else suggested, perhaps a square crop would work here, but I leave that up to the author.

Well, I see that the placement of the arms act almost like a frame for the face, whose strong eyes dominate the picture.  I keep track of where my eyes go when inspecting this and not even 1% of the time do they bother to look at the sides - I think that a vertical crop is much stronger emotionally and the intense look in the model's eyes create the impetus for that emotion.  I believe that the horizontal crop fights the enveloping feeling of emotion inherent here. The vertical crop allows the face to take more surface area which works well.
