wogears 186 Posted January 21, 2011 This is a powerful image with extraordinary color and presence. I think, though, that it is just a little flat. You could afford to have a few pixels blow to white in order to improve the local contrast and strengthen the color relationships. Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted January 21, 2011 Sorry. Can't resist the compulsion to edit. See what you think. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2011 This is a powerful portrait but I find the very obvious burning in of the background, along with distinct margins where it is not, very distracting. Link to comment
saintelmo21 38 Posted January 21, 2011 Definitely 'compelling' portrait. Very dignified man. I agree with Les' comments and editing...looks better. Link to comment
wimputs 1 Posted January 21, 2011 Thank you for the comments.Les:More contrast is indeed better, make it less flat.Although the increase of color is a bit too much for me.But perhaps it's my monitor.Scott:I find the spot a good idea, but it's too much, You right about that. Link to comment
svetlana_korolyova 27 Posted January 21, 2011 Very interesting portrait! But I think Les Berkeley postprocessing is better. Link to comment
olafdevries 0 Posted January 28, 2011 Eerlijk, mooi die arm..! Only fractions of postprocessing would improve. Link to comment
