Crystal of Bismuth - Closeup (Macro)Image
Taken with standard 50mm lens and Auto Bellows accessory. Lighting was a single tungsten lamp (100watt) to the left of the crystal. The source of the brilliant iridescent blue and gold coloration is a thin layer of oxide, which forms when bismuth is exposed to the air.
