jeffl7 0 Posted January 18, 2011 You almost make winter seem desirable. You liar. However, the color of the backlit leaves and the sky are such a beautiful pairing. It's nice to see some new pieces from you. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 18, 2011 Thanks Jeff! Too many people shut themselves in and miss scenes like this in Winter. If I can bring just one person out of hibernation, then I've done my job! LOL The back-lit orange leaves and blue sky beyond was exactly what drew me in. Trying to make a composition that worked among all the branches and undergrowth was a bit of a challenge.I'm having fun again, good to hear from you! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 19, 2011 Tim... Since you insist that we open "large" -- I did, and it puts me right there in the cold with you. An excellent Winter scene that I'm enjoying right here in the 55d South :-)... Mike Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted January 19, 2011 I agree with Mike - just stunning detail viewed large.Well done Tim! Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 19, 2011 Thank you David! I kept staring at this scene which was off trail a bit. I wandered toward it through all the undergrowth trying to organize a composition. I'm happy with the results. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 19, 2011 Nope, a week ago we were suppose to get an ice storm but it, and the snow, stayed 1.5 hours north of us.... Take care... Mike Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 19, 2011 That's a darn shame! LOL I'll just have to enjoy it for you. :-) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 19, 2011 It is a must! seen large.. such a beauty. Especially living in a dry side of the glob....the play of upper/lower blue/white with a the touch of autumn red/brown remainders.......with a lot of trees/weeds "curtain"...a beauty, I have already said? Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 19, 2011 You should hear all of the complaints about Winter here from people all around me. Sad that they take it for granted. I couldn't imagine life without it! Thank you! Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted January 22, 2011 Hi Tim- Another of your great slices of nature.Sitting back & enjoying your image, I feel a sense of quietness & remoteness & where else would we rather be Soon we notice details, the slight leaning of the snow clad trees showing the direction of the prevailing winds. The dark side of the forest on the other side of the pond & the long faint shadows of the setting sun tell us not to linger too long as another cold winter night will soon be upon us.. Regards-Ross Link to comment
