...indeed a beautiful model.

Technically perfect (exposure, lighting, framing).

I'm not sure about the body expression of the model is the best. It's a bit too tensed, too studied. Otherwise, great photo.

Bogdan,

This pose was studied for 3 seconds since this is how long  it took me to focuse on the eye and shoot. She is a ballet master and there is nothing tense there. As soon as the strobes flashed I had a new pose.

Raymond,

Thank you for your visit and comments

It shows that she is a balerina, and she is ellegant indeed but what i mean is that her pose is unnatural and therefore tensed.

Unnecessary dramatism.

Keep it simple.

The model is exquisite, and the pose is the epitomy of elegance, almost liquid in it's flow and form........but then I'm no expert in these matters, just my humble opnion.

My feelings were given by Bogdan... almost verbatim. What I am looking forward to is more ballet like poses. Perhaps I am hoping for too much. I do like the image.

Alf,

Thanks a lot.

Bogdan,

I see your point, but I simply like this image.

David,

There are more. I did not want to start with the best image. But especially for you I am posting the best first. It will come soon.

Regards,

Andrew

Just superb! Both image and model. As for the pose, it is what it is. I didn't know it had to be one way or another but not a third way. Believe me I understand that there are guidelines for making good photos and that some poses simply won't work, so they should be avoided. I think this one works beautifully and knowing now that she is a ballerina makes it works all the more!

I am surprised at the negative comments!  I see this as the very epitome of feminine gracefulness and beauty.  Look at the arms and hands, the fingers. If this were a motion picture frame I would look to the next to see the arms open outward - that motion is implied by this still.

The face is exactly the beginning of expression - we cannot know whether she will smile or frown - the perpetual mystery of womanhood!

If there were anything I would think of changing it would be the two locks of hair that have curled into her waist; I think I would retouch them out.  They look too much like the talons of a hawk, digging into her back.
