From the comment of Volker Birke in my other post;

". . .It benefits a lot from the unusual shapes and lines of these

constructions in the foreground (lookouts or supports for fishing nets...?)

versus the fishing boat and the mountains (very good DOF) as well as

from your editing enhancing some lights and colors. . . .

. . . I would like to see more shots of these objects and special spot, if

possible." . . .

This image is dedicated to him. One among the image I took last

weekend at a lake called "Taal Lake", in the Philippines. The triangular

structure is a fisherman tripod made of bamboo. Fishermen climb up to

the top for a better vantage point to spot the fishes. The fishermen use

air rifle but the bullet is a made-up dart with a nylon string attached for

them to be able to retrieve the fish caught. A two-hour stay provided the

time to witness and document the different colors of sunset (seen in

some of the images). Thank you for viewing and this image is better

seen large by clicking image.

I love the colors here, especially the warm peach colored water in front.  Thanks for the explanation.  This tripod looks too flimsy for anyone to climb.....would be cool if you could get a shot of someone doing that!  :-)

This is a more minimalist version, but IMO even better rather than the first one. The contrasts of shapes (especially triangles in different arrangements, sizes etc.), lines and textures as well of colors and lights are awesome and extremely well-balanced / arranged very harmonically. One highlight is the human silhouette / the fisherman and his boat in the background versus the tripod in the foreground. Bravo. And many thanks for your background information! Unfortunately, I cannot join you at this very, very beautiful spot... ;-)

Best wishes,

Volker
