The contrasting stripes, and placing your model on a diagonal, make for a terrific composition, John. The lighting is lovely, as always, and her pose quite nice. You have gotten your monies worth from those socks:-)

One nitpick... I think that the crop might be too tight on the top. Her hair is cramped by the edge of the picture.

 

Oh well, 9 points out of ten is still a very nice picture to look at I'd say.

I would love to see a video showing how you get your models to look so comfortable with what they are doing. You said many are amatures, but you make them all look like professional models. You must have a method that works for helping them to enjoy the experience.

Lj Glaze, do not forget that I am an amateur too, just as the models are for the most part.

 

Professionalism is a two way sword, it has rules and constraints. Being casual, friendly and having fun is much more conducive to being relaxed all around.

I don’t think you can put that in a video, it’s really very much about just being yourself, photographer and models alike. Many thanks for passing by again. John
