I would though like to see it without the bars in red! First, red doesn't go with blue, second, rigid doesn't go with plasma looking stuff! I am telling you that all the time and maybe it's a matter of gustibus which non est disputandum!

No dispute... 

When I made this image I was trying to create an interesting visual of an otherwise nearly impossible-to-view phenomenon.  The two primary colors separate the fluids from their laboratory apparatus, liquids from metallic equipment, opposite colors and different phases of matter (liquid vs solid).

So... the background, and frame, are not meant to co-mingle as one but rather to exist as distinctly separate entities.

I guess you could say that this image is conceptual scientific illustration and not 'art' in the usual sense.
