Thanks you folks! I wish I had the flash on the camera to do a bit of a filled flash so that I can tone down background light a bit. The bird was in the shade some (the head) and I had to slow the SS some to catch him. :-) - Of course, the flash was in the backpack (on my back) :-)

Aren't these birds just gorgeous? I have one that visits our deck daily to eat. I have a few shots of him, but none as good as this one. VERY nice shot! Love the lighting and warm tones!
