Thanks Dominick! Once I thought it's difficult to shoot handheld but for the last month or two I think the keeper rate is about the same as if I shoot with the tripod and gimbal head. Infact, shooting handheld provide more opportunity, flexibility, I think. All thanks to Canon Image Stabilization and shutter speed above 1/1000. :-)

Thanks MJ! I've been using only one center focusing point instead the multitude of focusing pts that the 1D III provide and that works well for me in panning. Once the focusing lock up and the shot is clear I keep the button down while keeping that point on the bird and keep snapping. It works for me! :-) Every time I use the many pt, I get blurry shot, btw.
