nicely done. it doesn't seem "cute" to me, i suppose because of the dreamlike quality of it. the long legs seem less silly and more symbolicof the aloofness of the rider.

Love this!  Very well done. It is fanciful with outstanding composition and colors and processing.  I would love to create images like this! Congrats.

Hi Gustavo,

Thanks:-)

I have a Wacom A4 tablet but don't use it, it's done with an Apple mouse and I get very used to airbrushing from the past.

Best, ben

I'm actually a 2nd year photography student at Demontfort University in Leicester and have recently been given an essay question relating to Surrealism. To complete it, I have chosen you to be my contemporary photographer, only I have found very little literature on you. Could you point me in the direction of any useful information (if theres any about) that may help me write it.

After Art School, were photography was one of the sections, I have been working as an Art Director in advertising, for consumer and international medical advertising.

Surrealism has been a source of inspiration for creation of the visual concept. To realize them, I worked together with the best photographers and illustrators, I had a lot of budget for it.

Now I'm retired and for my hobby (working with very low budget), I'm still addicted to surrealism, try create surreal concepts, were fantasy has no limits (no difficult clients and accounts anymore). I can make one shot photography, but this doesn't interest me, leave it to specialists.

Has in advertising, an object/subject inspires me to create my OWN image by adding other elements. All photo's are taken by myself, but my possibilities are limited, so I have to use elements who are possible in my budget.

I have a full HD of personal stock photo's (photographed since 40 year) and if needed I go out shooting it. It can take then years to finish an image... or I have to adapt the concept with what is in my possibilities.

I love doing this, hated by some (photo-purists) loved by others.

Hope it helps.

Wish you success,

Ben

The idea is one thing, the execution another. Here the idea is perfectly realized in an excellent composition. The color is right out of a storybook I read as a child and that I recall with pleasure.
