Taal is a freshwater lake located south of Manila in the Philippines. It is

situated within a caldera formed by eruptions in the past. I have been to

this place for the nth time just for its sunset however, my last visit this

Sunday paid off with the wonderful play of colors in the sky reflected upon

the calm waters of the lake. Some green color in the foreground are moss

that have grown during the past months. A single exposure. Thank you for

viewing and your comments/critiques are always welcome. Option to view

The sunset itself is cause for congratulation, but I think the inclusion of the tripod structure really makes it special. I'm actually really curious to know what it is? It looks like a cane version of the tripods fishermen used in the UK to rest their fishing rods against.  Very well placed in the frame also, delightful photograph!

Best Regards

Thanks for your comments.

Alf, you're correct, these are fishermen tripods. The fishermen go up the bamboo pole to the top armed with an air rifle but the bullet is a made-up contraption of a small dart with a thin nylon cord attached to its tip. At a higher elevation they can site the fishes more readily for them to shoot at. Thanks for your interest. Regards!

Fabulous colors - a pastel wonder, and I too am intrigued by the tripod structure. Lester, thanks for your explanation of the image; it really helps.  You have captured excellent reflections here.  This has to find a place on a prominent wall in your home.  Congratulations.

A magnificent capture of peace and serenity. The soft pinks and purples, the gentle blues are wonderful. Very nice.

That is why according to masters and Johnson's it is easier for two women to love each other, because they like calm and order and it is perfect for peaceful love. Then two men to love each other because they love fun and action and run together throw life. But men and women, lake and river, it is almost imposible to come to a loving commintent because one is calm and the other is running. However as the perfect encounter, the river meets the sea, a very large lake, produce and go on.  That is why the gay marriage is going strong and will not stop until total aceptance.  Warm regards my friend.

Very simple but show the very beautiful nature.  Nice sky with the wonderful clouds and the perfet colorful reflection.  The simple "watching Tower" links the sky and the sea and the land.  Very nice composition. Best Regards,
