Painted Desert

This is an image of the painted desert in Arizona. Snowfall from a

couple of days before I got there, had changed the entire landscape

to very delicate greens, browns and reds. What you see in the

foreground are pieces of petrified wood. Your comments are welcome.

georgeous photo; it screams of lonlieness; the sky, while bland, really adds to the feeling of pure isolation; If I could improve one thing, it would be to increase the contrast between the land and the sky (and I have no idea how to do that outside of post scan editing and waiting for another day....)

different from the cliche of the usual pictures with foreground of high interest. I like this shot of emptiness and the the feel of openess at the same time.
