"Free Palestine"

I almost ended up killing this shot (and most of the rest of the ones from Firenze) because I overexposed this roll by a stop. f/8, 1/60th or so.

Trying to keep it simple. Thanks for your comments.

If you cannot see 26 distinct squares in the pattern above, you may want to adjust your monitor for brightness and contrast.

I like the simplicity. I would be tempted to crop the right side to eliminate the last vertical line. Otherwise, composed very nicely.

I like the idea. From studying the perspective of the pavement slabs, you were opposite the right edge of the white background. I think if you had moved further left (towards the bicycle) you could have used the lines of the pavement to lead the eyes up to the slogan. For me, I am led to the right of the slogan. Also the lines in the photograph are slightly off, by that, I mean the verticals are not exactly vertical and the horizontals not horizontal. It may be that there really is a slope on the street or wall but I think it would better to try not to show this.

I also think the levels could be adjusted which I would prefer (possibly due to the overexposure).

I agree with Lisa regarding the possibility of cropping out the rightmost pillar.

It took me a while looking at this and I had to try out a couple of different ideas within Photoshop which I preferred (straightened, levelled, stamped). At least it will show you what and how I think it could be improved (my opinion only!).

I do like the image and think it has lots of potential. One last question - Are the bus stop markings on the road coincidental ?

Thanks for the comments so far. You're right about the verticals -- sloppy scanning, mea culpa. The bus markings: I was going to crop them out, but I chose to keep them in because I wanted to keep the graffiti in the center of the frame, and they add a little definition to the street.

That it does nothing for me. Perhaps black and white??? I hate to leave you with no comment other than that. The more I look at it the more contrast my eye wants.

Know what I think would add a lot to this shot? People, or even one person, walking by, especially if they had an uncomfortable expression on their face.
