Several photographers who exhibit their wares along the beach have shots of these steps, and there are usually tourists at the foot taking their own snapshots. I decided to create my own anyway, knowing that I'd be standing in the tripod-holes of previous artists. I tried the classic, whole staircase view, which suffered from mixed light, but found myself increasingly drawn to detail shots, of which this is one, presented for your perusal and comment. I wish I knew who the artist for the spanish tiles was, so I could credit his/her/their work.For what it's worth, these steps are covered with the usual amount of snow for a Santa Barbara holiday season.
